Review of “Lal Salaam”: What’s Good, What’s Bad, Learn From Viewers’ Words

Returning to helm her third feature film, “Lal Salaam,” is Aishwarya Rajinikanth. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film stars Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal in the key roles.

Aishwarya is directing her for the first time in the film. Other supporting cast members include Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, Thambi Ramaiah, and others. Notably, the film features a cameo from World Cup-winning cricket captain Kapil Dev.

The soundtrack is composed by two-time Oscar winner AR Rahman, with cinematography by Vishal Rangasamy and editing by B Pravin Baaskar.

The film appears to delve into the topic of religious harmony, a timely and relevant subject. Vishnu Vishal plays the protagonist, a troubled Muslim character. He is portrayed as an alcoholic troublemaker, but a pujari predicts that he will bring honour to his village. Cricket becomes his only path to redemption, but he is denied a fair opportunity.

Will the film meet or surpass the hype? Take it from what the viewers have to say:

Nishant Rajarajan:#LaalSalaam first half

Excellent! Superstar cameo used to great effect. RK’s endearing family scenes will make you feel more high than the crowd scenes! Politics and cricket are expertly staged. Unexpected this kind of refinement and maturity from @ash_rajinikanth Siddarth Srinivas: “Happy Holi” Time interval: So far, so good. Better than anticipated from @ash_rajinikanth, who establishes the mood and gets nearly every actor in the cast to provide strong performances. The standout moments are those starring Rajinikanth, the superstar in a different hue. Engaging but sombre!

Siddhartha Sankar: The first review of #Lalsalaam is out, and it’s gushing about the movie and the main actors 👍🏽 Bloody Brilliant, and it looks like Moideenbhai is the ideal icing on the cake ❤️
